2008 Popcorn Sale Fundraiser
Once again, Pack 7 will be joining thousands of Scouts across the nation in the BSA's annual fundraising event: selling Trail's End popcorn. This is Pack 7's only fundraising activity, and not only does the popcorn sale raise funds for Pack 7, it also helps support the Annawon Council and Camp Norse.
Important Dates
- TBD – Popcorn Sale Begins
- TBD – Popcorn Sale Ends
- TBD – All payments and popcorn returns due
In order to run the Cub Scout program, Pack 7 currently collects a $65 annual activity fee; however, the actual cost per Cub is nearly $80. The popcorn sale enables Pack 7 to cover the difference between the $65 activity fee and the true cost of running the pack. By selling popcorn, Cubs are able to earn part or all of their activity fee - $195 worth of popcorn will cover the entire activity fee.
Pack 7 has ordered over $10,000 worth of popcorn this year. It is available to be picked up beginning TBD. We are asking all scouts to participate in the popcorn sale, with a goal of selling at least $250 worth of popcorn. There are a number of different types of popcorn for sale, ranging in price from $TBD to $TBD, so a total sale of $200 or more is not as hard as you might think. Past experience shows that about 70% of the people asked to buy popcorn by a uniformed Cub Scout will make a purchase.
It is important to note all payments and unsold popcorn must be returned to TBD NO LATER THAN TBD. The Pack must return any unsold popcorn and pay for all popcorn sold in full on TBD. In past years, late returns cost the pack nearly $200, therefore this year we will not accept any returns of unsold popcorn after November 13th.
If you have any questions about the popcorn sale, please call TBD.
