The Great Mansfield Cleanup
Date: Saturday, May 3rd, 2008
9:00 AM to Noon
The Great Mansfield Clean-up is a special day that has been set aside for Mansfield residents to come together and help remove the trash that litters our roadsides and public spaces. Volunteer clean-up crews, including Pack 7, will fan out across our neighborhoods on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM to collect litter and leave Mansfield spic-and-span. By the end of the day, our community will not only be physically cleaner, but more closely-knit. So take pride in your town and volunteer to help!
Pack 7 will be working on Rt 106 from the Easton line to the East St traffic light along with the other Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops in town. Younger scouts will be on the sidewalk side. The organizers have requested no one under 5 years of age attend the clean up for safety considerations since we will be on a busy road. Garbage bags and adult gloves will be provided and we will have a DPW truck with us and possibly a police crusier. Further details and safety procedures will be sent out to those that sign up.
We recommend that each scout be accompanied by an adult family member or arrangements should be made with the den leader or other adult attending.
Please sign up on line at the link below so we know how many participants to expect - and if you sign up before April 9th, the Town of Mansfield will provide a t-shirt. For additional information, please contact Michelle McCormick via email at Michele.McCormick@comcast.net.
